All maintenance issues were dealt with swiftly and to a good standard, whether by contractors coming to the property or yellow doors staff themselves. Particular compliments go to Lewis who would check in with us overall when on the odd visit to look at things in the house and would ask us opinions on changes being made to the renting process even though we were leaving Lancaster. YLD consistently involves their renters in the conversation around changing processes, whether around necessary rent increases or options for contract changes in the future. Sometimes emails would be passed over I assume due to the volume YLD receive, but when acknowledged help would be provided quickly.

It was such a lovely house. The location was perfect, it was warm in the winter and the rooms were large and spacious. Any issues we did have like the boiler, WiFi etc. were sorted really quickly. The walls and furniture were a bit shabby but this was to be expected and didn’t distract from all the positive elements of the house. Yellow doors regularly checked on the property but weren’t intrusive in any way. My previous landlord in student accommodation had too many rules and the place never felt like ours because of this. However, at Oswald Street this was not the case at all and it definitely felt like home for all of us. Thank you yellow doors!

Overall a lovely home, although a few appliances broke down. They were usually fixed or replaced in a decent time frame! Staff were very helpful whenever we had issues with wi-fi, appliances, leaky ceilings etc and fixed any problems within a timeframe that allowed us to get on with our studies.
